LESSON D EXISTENCE IN ENGLISH

Imagen
There Is vs. There Are You probably know that the choice between is vs. are depends on a noun. In most sentences, the noun comes before the verb. But in sentences that begin with there is and there are, the noun comes later.   There is a cat on the porch. = 1 SINGULAR  In the sentence above, cat is singular, so it requires there is.   There are many opportunities to learn at this company.= 2 OR MORE PLURAL In the sentence above, opportunities is plural, so it requires there are. (Don’t let the word many throw you off—concentrate on the noun.)   HERE YOU HAVE THIS VIDEO THAT WILL HELP YOU TO UNDERSTAND THIS TOPIC CLICK IN THIS LINK TO UNDERSTAND THE TOPIC IN THIS LINK WE CAN PRACTICE THE TOPIC WITHOUT ANY HELP THERE IS VS THERE ARE PRACTICE

LESSON B MODAL CAN

Imagen
LESSON C MODAL CAN  ABILITY The modal 'can' is a commonly used modal verb in English. It is used to express; ability, opportunity, a request, to grant permission, to show possibility or impossibility. It is this large amount of functions and the fact that ‘can’ is replaced by other modals when it is used to express future or past time that often lead to certain errors. Remember that the actions have to be without ending in eachone, for example  He can speaking = It is not allowed She can spoken = It is not allowed They can speak= It is CORRECT! Another very importan aspect is this MODAL doesn't have any diffrenece with the diffrent subject pronoun or names,  it is the same for all of them. e.g. Alondra can speak English well. We can skate in the par. You and me can study  Maths Sergio can do exercise Letty and Paullet can dance Chacha cha .  Here you have video in case you ave doubts about it  This term is going to be evaluated through activities done in classes.
